Cristine Reyes Is Being Courted By Gilas Pilipinas' Kevin AlasAlthough Cristine Reyes wanted to defer having a boyfriend for another two years, she admitted that Gilas Pilipinas cager Kevin Alas is courting her.
Asked how Kevin is courting her, Cristine said it's a different time now because he doesn't go to her house to visit her. Instead, Kevin constantly texts her and invites her to watch a basketball game.
Kevin is only 23 years old, and is about to enter the Philippine Basketball Association. Cristine is 25 years old.
She got to know him through Instagram because Kevin kept on commenting on her posts and sending her pictures. She admitted she finds him cute because he has pictures with his little brother.
Cristine said men who's fond of young kids are her weakness.
Asked if Cristine has a chance with her, the actress feels he has but not as a boyfriend exactly. She really just wants the qualities she sees in him.
She can see that he's a decent guy and that he's sincere. "Maghintay siya, pero sabi ko nga, 'di mo masasabi kung darating. Malay mo may dumating at bigla akong ma-in love, 'di ba?"
For Cristine, being single and being in a relationship both have their advantages. Being single, she holds her time and she can use it any way she wants to. But when she has a partner, Cristine is inspired.
When it comes to having a suitor, Cristine finds that a better setup because he will be the one to find a way and time for her.
Cristine was previously seen as a bad girl mainly because of her tumultuous relationship with her sister, Ara Mina. Last year, their rift finally ended and many were happy that the two mended their fences.
The reason why she has a bad reputation before was because of her childhood. She grew up in a foster home. She didn't want to talk about it because it might hurt her real family.
"Feeling ko, dahil nga dun sa nangyari nung childhood ko, naghahanap ako ng love ng family. Now I have two families at lahat ng pamilya ng mga kaibigan ko, pamilya na rin ang turing sa akin."
Cristine said she supports both families. When she has close friends, the actress said their families always treat her as a member of theirs as well.
When she was still in school, Cristine was always at the disciplinary office because she was a rebel. She doesn't deny these issues.
Even until last year, Cristine and Ara still have some issues they settled. "Last year lang, ang dami ko pa talagang angst nun, sa ginawa sa akin nung bata ako."
Before, she's really quiet at home and she doesn't talk to her siblings. But last year, they were in Boracay together with Ara.
That was the time she really felt complete. "Wala na talaga [angst], kung mayroon man, mga little stuff na lang."
