KC Concepcion Dedicates Award To Mom Sharon CunetaKC Concepcion dedicated her first best actress award to her mother, Megastar Sharon Cuneta. KC won in the recently held 30th Star Awards for Movies of the Philippine Movies Press Club (PMPC) for her movie, "Boy Golden," with Governor ER Ejercito.
KC was not in Manila to accept the award. She is currently in New York to take short courses in acting.
Before this acting award from PMPC, she also won as best supporting actress during the 27th PMPC Star Awards for Television in November last year for her role in "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala."
Through her Instagram account, KC thanked the PMPC and dedicated her award to Sharon. She posted a photo of the trophy. "This Best Actress award is dedicated to my mother & to ALL my fans who never left my side, who truly believe in me & continue to inspire me. Can't wait to hold you, baby... #ToGodBeTheGlory #PMPCStarAwards #MarlaDee #BoyGolden #BestActress"
Another post showed the text message of her mother. "Congrats, Tina! You really deserve it. Am proud of your achievements, especially this one! I love and miss you."
On the caption, KC said it means a lot to her that her mother appreciates her achievements. Every success, she said, feels more complete when Sharon appreciates it. She called her mother a "passionate, talent[ed] and legacy" she admires "greatly."
"Thank you, Ma. Best actress na din ako, hehe, thank you for exposing me to the world of movie making. This is for you. Work hard, dream big!!!❤"
On her Twitter account, KC thanked her fans who congratulated her for the award. She also exchanged texts with Vice Ganda, who won as Movie Actor of the Year. Vice also wasn't in the country to accept the award.
KC said she received the information that she won from Toni Gonzaga, who texted her while she just finished attending mass.
On Twitter, Vice congratulated KC for winning. It's ironic, he said, that they won when they are both not in the country.
KC said they should have celebrated in the States. Vice is also in the US for a series of shows.
