Photos: Anne Curtis Suffers From Nasty-Looking Rashes After Box Jellyfish StingAnne Curtis is currently recovering at St. Luke’s hospital and is suffering from nasty-looking rashes after she was stung by a jellyfish during filming.
The incident happened in a beach in Batangas while the actress was filming “Dyesebel”.
Nonetheless, even though the rashes look disturbing as pointed out by observers, Curtis seems to be fine and is even updating her fans about her status through Twitter.
According to reports, Curtis was stung by a box jellyfish on Wednesday night. She was rushed to hospitals in San Juan and Lipa in Batangas, ABS-CBN notes, and was eventually transferred to St. Luke’s Medical Center inside Bonifacio Global City.
Through Twitter, Curtis said that she has read peoples’ get well soon messages for her. She said that this is the first time she has been stung by a box jellyfish. Curtis also admitted that she is currently confined in St. Luke’s so that doctors “can monitor my jellyfish sting/rash & most important the rhythm of my heart.”
In another tweet, the actress said that she has been reading up on box jellyfish and has realized that she is lucky that the sting was not fatal. She also had a message to her fans as she said, “This summer be careful when swimming in the ocean keep an eye out.”
