Billy Crawford And Coleen Garcia Are Now Exclusively DatingBilly Crawford admitted that he and "It's Showtime" co-host Coleen Garcia are now exclusively dating. This was after the international singer confessed that he is pursuing the young TV host-actress after his very controversial breakup with Nikki Gil.
Billy said they are taking their time and they are enjoying each other's company. They go out regularly and they have the same set of friends.
"As long na alam ko where I stand, I know where I’m happy and, hopefully, I make her happy, then that’s it. Everyone deserves to be happy."
Billy and Nikki have been together for more than five years until their breakup almost a year ago. At that time, Billy said he was confused and wanted to find himself.
After a week in the States, Billy came back to clear the air about him and Coleen. Nikki, on the other hand, hinted that a third party caused their separation.
Coleen also cried foul to accusations that she was the cause of the breakup. Coleen and Billy received flak as well when they both admitted going out months after denying their "relationship."
Now, Billy is very open in pursuing the TV host while Nikki is going out with a non-showbiz guy.
Meanwhile, Billy debunked the comments on the so-called "curse" of the "It's Showtime" hosts. He doesn't believe in good and bad luck, but believes that sometimes, it is not just the right time for the right things to happen to them.
Billy and Coleen were caught in the middle of a controversy when the former allegedly broke up with Nikki because of the latter. Vhong Navarro was mauled by businessman Cedric Lee and allegedly raped three women.
Anne Curtis was involved in two scandals--the slapping incident with showbiz personalities, the humiliation of Sam Concepcion and the stinging of the jellyfish during a "Dyesebel" taping.
Vice Ganda and Karylle had a "tampuhan" that stemmed from Yael Yuzon's infamous comment that he is not comfortable with the ViceRylle loveteam.
Kuya Kim Atienza was plagued by illnesses until last year.
Billy said it came to a point when they ask themselves who will be next and what will happen next? "Yung nangyari kay Anne, it's accident. Yung kay Vice at Karylle personal experience sa kanila. Yung sa akin, personal din. Yung kay Vhong, medyo sunod-sunod nga."
Because of these setbacks, the singer said they have to make adjustments to the noontime show that is consistently beating "Eat Bulaga" in the ratings game. It is hard to continue a show wherein the hosts are facing different dilemmas and challenges in their personal and professional lives.
Despite of these, there are good things happening to them too. Vice Ganda's "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy" was a major success during the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival, Karylle got married to Yael, Anne was chosen for the role of "Dyesebel," Vhong's movie will come out soon and Billy will be releasing an album this year.
"Ang maganda niyan we take it positively din. Kasi parang we grow stronger as a family. Nandito kami para isa't isa, yun ang natutunan namin. So from all the trials na pinagdaanan namin parang there's always a good side to it."
Billy has yet to give a title to his album, which will come out this year. He is choosing between "Around The World" and "Driving Me Crazy." According to the singer, there's a little bit of himself in the songs.
There's a mixture of R&B, pop, EDM and up-to-date genres in the album. There will be OPM songs too, so Billy can show his more serious, sentimental and sweet side.
This will be his 8th album since he started his career. This will be all originals, according to the singer.
