Roxanne Cabañero Rape Case Transferred To DOJThe rape case filed by Roxanne Cabañero against actor and television host Vhong Navarro has been transmitted to the Department of Justice.
According to several reports, the case filed by the former beauty contestant at the Pasig City Prosecutor’s office on February 19 was transferred to the DOJ along with the perjury countercharge the actor filed against Cabañero.
As a result, Cabañero and her camp is crying foul over the decision of the Pasig City court to transfer the case.
Roxanne Cabañero filed a rape case against Navarro alleging that the latter raped her in 2010 when she was in Manila participating in a beauty pageant. She said in the past that the actor and host took interest in her after her group visited “It’s Showtime”.
In the evening after the visit to the set of the show, she alleges that Navarro sexually assaulted her inside a vehicle in the vicinity of Ortigas in Pasig City.
However, Navarro and his camp has submitted evidence that he could not have done what is being alleged as he was in Cavite at the time and stayed there late for a show.
