‘Siya Na, Habang-buhay,’ Says Vhong Navarro About GirlfriendIn hot water ever since admittedly cheating on his long-time girlfriend and landing in a massive controversy, Vhong Navarro says that he sees nobody else in his life from now on but his partner Tanya Bautista.
“Gusto ko lang sabihin na wala na akong hahanapin pa kay Tanya. At gusto ko, siya na makasama ko habang-buhay,” Navarro said, reacting to being asked whether he plans to now marry Bautista who he has child with, in an interview with Boy Abunda.
It has been barely over three months since Navarro was involved in the now infamous Fort Bonifacio condominium controversy which was either a failed extortion scheme or a failed rape incident, depending on who you believe.
Back in January, Navarro made headlines when it was learned that he was hospitalized after being badly beaten. Coverage on his situation intensified after he revealed that he was beaten after being threatened by a group of men.
That group includes the also now famous Cedric Lee who Navarro claims was leading the group who threatened to frame him for raping Deniece Cornejo if he did not pay up to two million pesos.
Cornejo filed a rape charge against Navarro which has now been dismissed by the Department of Justice while she, Lee and others are facing multiple charges including serious illegal detention which is a non-bailable offense.
Navarro also now faces two other rape complaints which some people are saying are a result of his current spat with Cornejo and Lee, even if the two other women who brought charges against Navarro have denied any connection to the two.
What is clear, however, is that Navarro was unfaithful to his girlfriend because he admitted that he was pursuing Cornejo at the time he was beaten. He was, in fact, in the condominium unit the woman was staying in when he was mauled.
Navarro has since said sorry to Bautista for hurting her. Furthermore, the comedian says that he and Bautista are quite happy now.
“Sobrang saya namin lalo ngayon,” Navarro said.
Nevertheless, it seems that the couple did go through a very rough patch because of what happened to the “It’s Showtime” host and actor.
He said that when the incident was fresh, he and Bautista would be okay one minute and then not okay the next minute.
This was because “nababalik sa kanya 'yung ginawa ko, e, 'di ba? Iyon talaga, nag-mi-mixed emotions siya,” he revealed.
What Navarro realized from the whole ordeal is that Bautista is really her best friend, he said.
“Kumbaga, this time mas nakita ko, mas naramdaman ko, na hindi lang pala talaga siya girlfriend ko lang. Hindi lang siya 'yung makakasama ko habang-buhay. Siya rin pala 'yung best friend ko,” he said.
After repeatedly saying sorry to Bautista, it seems Navarro and the woman is now in good terms.
Navarro also revealed in his interview that he has assured Bautista and is continually assuring her, that he will be a faithful partner from now on.
