Cedric Lee Hiding While NBI Arrests Sister Bernice For Vhong Navarro Case? The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) failed to arrest Cedric Lee, one of the suspects in the mauling of TV host-actor Vhong Navarro in January. One of the housemaids in his house in Greenhills said Cedric has not been home for weeks.
Instead, agents of the NBI invited for questioning his sister, Bernice, who was in the house that time. She failed to present proof that she has already posted a bail of P12,000 for the warrant of arrest issued against her in connection to the grave coercion raps.
A separate non-bailable warrant of arrest was issued against her brother Cedric, Deniece Cornejo, Simeon Raz, Ferdinand Guerrero and Jed Fernandez in relation to the serious illegal detention case. Bernice's and JP Calma's names were not in this warrant.
Vhong's camp is asking a clarification from the court why there was no warrant of arrest issued against Bernice and JP for the serious illegal detention case.
These cases were in connection to the mauling of the TV host-actor back in January. This was after Deniece alleged that she was twice raped by Vhong inside her condo unit.
Cedric and his group effected a "citizen's arrest" against Vhong. In the process, they seriously injured the TV host-actor.
But one of the suspects has already approached the Department of Justice (DOJ) and has asked to turn state witness to reveal the "Oplan Bugbog" against Vhong. DOJ Secretary Leila de Lima said the agency and the witness protection program are studying this application.
