Deniece Cornejo And Cedric Lee Are Now FugitivesAuthorities are now looking for Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee after a warrant of arrest has been issued against them by the Taguig Metropolitan Court in connection to grave coercion and serious illegal detention raps filed by Vhong Navarro.
Others included in the warrant are JP Calma, Ferdinand Guerrero, Bernice Lee, Jed Fernandez and Zimmer Raz. Bernice and JP were not included, however, in the non-bailable warrant for serious illegal detention.
These cases were in connection to the mauling of the TV host-actor inside Deniece's condo unit in Taguig City on January 22. Deniece alleged that Vhong raped her, and that's why Cedric and his group mauled him.
The rape complaint was junked. Earlier, Deniece and Jed posted bail for the grave coercion raps, but the rest did not.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has ordered all port of entries to detain and arrest Cedric, Deniece and their group if they ever try to leave the country. JP has already left for Singapore on April 10, before the warrant was issued.
Cedric also tried in several occasions to leave the country, but he cancelled it when the media published it. Ferdinand also tried to escape, but the Bureau of Immigration stopped him since he is in the lookout bulletin.
JP was able to leave because of the mix-up in his name. JP apparently changed his aliases many times.
"When I asked how come there was no advice when he was supposed to be part of the LBO, ang naka-register daw sa BI database was the name 'John Paul Calma,'" DOJ Secretary Leila de Lima said.
According to de Lima, one of the suspects in the mauling of Vhong also approached the department and asked to turn state witness. There was allegedly an "Oplan: Bugbog" against Vhong.
If that application is granted, it will only prove that the mauling of the TV host-actor was pre-meditated.
