NBI Arrests Cedric Lee In Eastern SamarAuthorities of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) have arrested Cedric Lee and Simeon Raz in Oras, Eastern Samar, according to Justice Secretary Leila de Lima.
The two were arrested around 11:15AM on April 26. The two attempted to escape but the authorities were able to corner them, so they had no choice but to surrender.
Cedric and Simeon will be brought to Manila. "My instruction was as soon as possible, so maybe today or tomorrow, or when they will be able to arrange their transportation."
The warrant of arrest was issued by the Taguig Metropolitan Court against Cedric, Simeon, Deniece Cornejo, Bernice Lee, JP Calma, Ferdinand Guerrero and Jed Fernandez in relation to the mauling of TV host-actor Vhong Navarro.
Of the seven accused, Bernice and JP were not included in the non-bailable warrant of arrest for the serious illegal detention case.
Bernice, however, was arrested because she was not able to post bail for the case of grave coercion.
These cases were in relation to what happened to Vhong inside Deniece's condo unit in Taguig City on January 22 of this year. Vhong said he was attacked by Cedric and his gang while the other party said they just effected a "citizen's arrest" against the TV host-actor because he raped Deniece.
Vhong denied the rape accusations. The court also junked the rape complaint filed by Deniece.
Deniece is also currently in hiding. According to the justice secretary, one of the accused is ready to turn the tables against the others.
