NBI Releases Mug Shots Of Cedric Lee And Simeon RazThe mug shots of Cedric Lee and Simeon Raz were released and are now spreading on the Internet. This was after they were arrested in Eastern Samar by authorities of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Mug shots are the photographic photos of people with cases filed against them. These will be used for their records and identification.
The two are suspects in the mauling of TV host-actor Vhong Navarro on January 22. They allegedly tied, hit and blackmailed Vhong.
Cedric said they only did this because they wanted to help their friend, Deniece Cornejo, who was raped by Vhong.
That rape complaint was already junked, and warrants of arrest for the cases grave coercion and serious illegal detention were issued against the group.
It is not known where Deniece is at the moment.
Meanwhile, the NBI denied Cedric's claims that he willingly surrendered to the authorities. He said they called a police officer in Samar to surrender to them.
The NBI, however, said they surrounded the house where Cedric and Simeon were hiding in. The two tried to escape by jumping off the high wall, but they were able to run after them.
They had no choice but to surrender.
A laughing Cedric said he thought the authorities were members of the New People's Army (NPA), a secessionist group with operations in Samar.
They were staying in the house of Simeon's family in Samar. They allegedly tried to hide in the mountains but retreated because of the presence of the NPA.
Asked why he seemingly lost weight and decided to grow his facial hair, Cedric said it's the new diet he is trying.
