Cedric Lee And Zimmer Raz Won't Be Transferred To Taguig City Jail YetBusinessmen Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz, who were alleged to have led the mauling of TV host-actor Vhong Navarro, won't be transferred to the Taguig City Jail.
This was after their camp filed a motion for reconsideration before the Taguig Metropolitan Court. They were supposed to be transferred from the detention facility of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to the Taguig City Jail on April 30, but this was suspended at the last minute.
Cedric said his legal counsel, Atty. Howard Calleja, will work hard to make sure they won't be transferred to the Taguig City Jail.
Cedric and Zimmer, along with Deniece Cornejo, Ferdinand Guerrero and Jed Fernandez, are facing possible jail time for their participation in the mauling of Vhong inside Deniece's condo unit on January 22.
The group, along with Cedric's sister Bernice and JP Calma, alleged that Vhong tried to rape Deniece and that's why they "arrested" him. But one of the accused revealed that there was an "Oplan: Bugbog" against Vhong.
Jed was supposed to turn state witness, but backed out on the last minute.
Cedric and Zimmer will be arraigned for the case instead on April 30 while the hearing for their motion is set on May 6.
The two were arrested in Eastern Samar over the weekend after they were tagged as fugitives following the issue of the non-bailable warrant of arrest against them.
There are two cases filed against the group--grave coercion (bailable) and serious illegal detention (non-bailable). The court released the warrant of arrest after finding "probable cause" in the cases filed by Vhong.
