Marian Rivera Denies Demand To Cut "Carmela" ShortKapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera said she didn't force GMA-7 to end her teleserye, "Carmela Ang Pinakagamandang Babae," so she can do a gag show with the same network.
Marian said "Carmela" was supposed to end after one season. It aired first on January 27. It was extended, however, until GMA-7 finally decided to end it this month.
Marian said she has to do the gag show immediately after "Carmela." GMA-7 wants her to do it at the same time with "Carmela," but she doesn't work that way. After the teleserye, she just asked for a few days of rest, then she will go right back to taping again.
She is not in a position to demand to end a teleserye since she only follows what the GMA bosses want, Marian said. She added that she has no power to demand anything from the network since the most she does is provide inputs to a story.
She doesn't mind the intrigues anymore. She's just happy that they were extended for three more weeks. The teleserye will end on May 23.
Meanwhile, many can expect more revelations from Carmela and Yago (Alden Richards) as they fight for the right to love each other.
There will still be steps against them by Fernando (Roi Vinzon) and Trixie (Jaclyn Jose). Amanda (Agot Isidro), Carmela's mother, will also play a big part in the teleserye's final episodes.
