Claudine Barretto Visits ABS-CBN: Will She Go Kapamilya Again?Claudine Barretto, in a surprise move, visited the ABS-CBN compound on Monday, years after transferring to the Kapuso network.
This has prompted some to question whether the actress is considering becoming a Kapamilya talent again.
Barretto was even interviewed on DZMM during her visit to the Kapamilya network.
However, it appears that Barretto did not plan to be interviewed and was only accompanying her lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, on Monday.
According to ABS-CBN News, Topacio was scheduled to be interviewed for DZMM’s “Mismo” program on Monday and Barretto just tagged along.
The news organization said that Barretto revealed she was totally unprepared for the interview.
Jobert Sucaldito and Ahwel Paz, the show’s hosts, just invited her to join, she said.
“Biglaan talaga! Hindi ko alam na guest ako! First time ko in a long time,” Barretto quipped, according to ABS-CBN.
Nonetheless, Barretto did say it was “nice” to be in ABS-CBN again.
Topacio, for his part, said that Barretto told her it has been years since she last set foot in ABS-CBN.
During the program, Topacio and Barretto talked about Barretto’s legal battle with Raymart Santiago, among other things.
Barretto also talked about Julia Barretto, her niece, who in one of the central figures in her current fued with sisters Gretchen and Marjorie, Julia’s mother.
According to Claudine, she is happy to see that Julia has a booming career. She even said that Julia is a better actress than her because she can do comedy.
“Julia can act. Mas magaling sa akin 'yon kasi marunong siya ng comedy, eh! 'Di ba? Drama, may nakuha na siya. May dugo siyang drama, may dugo pa siyang comedy,” she said.
Julia’s father is comedian Dencio Padilla.
At another point in the interview, Claudine said, “I'm really, really happy with what's happening to her career right now.”
