PNP Releases Deniece Cornejo's MugshotsThe mugshots of model-stylist Deniece Cornejo have been released by the Philippine National Police (PNP) after she surrendered to the police.
Deniece is facing two cases--grave coercion and serious illegal detention. She already paid the bail for the grave coercion case, but serious illegal detention is a non-bailable offense.
Vhong Navarro filed these complaints in relation to his mauling inside Deniece's condo unit on January 22. He was supposedly attacked by Deniece's friends--Cedric Lee, Ferdinand Guerrero, Zimmer Raz, JP Calma, Jed Fernandez and Bernice Lee.
All members of the group, except for JP and Bernice, have warrants issued against them in relation to the serious illegal detention case.
Deniece alleged that Vhong raped her twice last January, but her complaints were junked by the Department of Justice.
When Deniece surrendered to the police, she was with her grandfather, former GMA executive Rod Cornejo, and lawyers Connie Aquino and Arleo Magtibay.
Rod said: "There's this feeling of relief, lahat kami sa family. Mas safe na yung nandito kesa yung nagtatago sa labas at maraming naghahabol at naghahanap sa kanya."
Deniece said she has no plans to escape from the police. She just had to transfer from one place to another because there were threats against her and her family.
