JC De Vera Is Depressed Before Joining ABS-CBNJC de Vera works 24/7 now with ABS-CBN. He has two shows--"The Legal Wife" and "Moon of Desire."
He works from Monday to Saturday since he has two teleseryes. He also did a movie entitled "So It's You" with Regal Entertainment. JC said he is satisfied with the way his career is going on right now.
The actor said he is used to that kind of schedule too because when he was with GMA-7, he did "La Lola," "Obra" and three filmfest entries all at the same time. With TV5, he did "Lokomoko" and "P.O.5."
Is it stressful for him to be with ABS-CBN? Not that it was stressful, but the network demands professionalism when it comes to honing his craft. It's more difficult to show his skills in acting.
"Mas ipu-push ka nila, mas pahihirapan ka nila kung hindi nila talaga gusto."
It's not just that he was relaxed when he was with GMA-7 and TV5, but ABS-CBN definitely demands more from their talents. Their directors push the artists to the limits.
Before he transferred to ABS-CBN, he was already depressed since nothing is happening with his career. JC is beyond being comfortable that he has one or two projects.
That's why he was surprised that ABS-CBN gave him these projects. Even though he is busy now, it's okay since he wants to grab all the opportunities.
Then, there are intrigues that said he has a benefactor, and that's why he has many projects. Before he entered the Kapamilya network, "The Legal Wife" has already been offered to him. He thought he was just one of the cast, but he never thought he will replace the role vacated by Paulo Avelino.
He became a mainstay and he already shot a VTR. It just so happened that the airing of the teleserye was delayed. That's why it airs at the same time with "Moon of Desire."
He loves both characters he plays in the teleseryes.
Now that he worked with the three networks, can he finally compare them and say where is most happy? JC said he is just more mature now with ABS-CBN. It is important to him that he is now with Kapamilya network. He wants to focus on securing his future.
ABS-CBN noticed him and knew that he can be pushed more. He can also see that the network appreciates his strength as an artist.
Of course, he is also thankful to GMA-7 and TV5.
His transfer to ABS-CBN is a "resurrection" of his career. He is with a network that rates very well. JC added that ABS-CBN is also very present in the lives of Filipinos abroad. "Siguro, sabihin na lang natin na may ganoon talagang image ang ABS na yung followers nila, passionate talaga. Loyal kahit worldwide."
He is happy that Filipinos overseas got to know him.
Meanwhile, JC denied that something is brewing between him and his "Moon of Desire" co-star, Meg Imperial. They don't even talk that much because their schedule doesn't jive well.
"Hindi naman sa hindi type, pero hindi lang siya sumasagi sa isip ko ngayon. Alam ko na maganda siya, alam ko na pleasing ang personality niya."
He is not thinking about love right now. He hasn't had a girlfriend in two years. JC has literally now relationship or even a fling right now.
