Kris Aquino Is Not Allowed To Do A Movie With Derek RamsayKris Aquino announced on her TV show, "Kris TV," that she has not been allowed to star in a movie with TV5 actor Derek Ramsay, who Kris also considers her friend.
Kris apologized to Derek because her ABS-CBN boss, Cory Vidanes, told her she couldn't do the movie, which she earlier described as an "adult relationship drama." The movie would be produced by Regal Films, and not Star Cinema, ABS-CBN's movie production arm.
The Queen Of All Media said she is just obeying her boss. The movie will supposedly be directed by Erik Matti.
Two weeks ago, Kris met with Direk Erik and her manager, Boy Abunda, to talk about the movie. In her Instagram account, the TV host-actress expressed hopes that she will be allowed to star in the said movie.
During the said meeting, Kris also met with Derek, Mother Lily Monteverde and some other people from the production. In her Instagram post, she even tagged Cory and asked if she can be allowed to star in the film.
This is the second movie of Kris and Derek that did not push through. Last March, she turned down a movie project with Derek because of her tight schedule. The indie film, entitled "Maratabat (Dangal at Katarungan)" was written by Arlyn dela Cruz.
She said it would have been memorable to do a movie with Derek. The movie will be a part of the Barcelona Film Festival and would require Kris to shave her head. She met with the producers and even Derek, who tried to persuade her to do the film.
However, although the script was great, the schedule of the filming did not fit Kris' own schedule. She wished "Maratabat" the best of luck though.
In 2013, Kris also turned down an indie film because it would require her to go bald. That indie film, "Barber's Tales," was directed by Jun Lana.
The role went to Eugene Domingo, who won as best actress at the 26th Tokyo International Film Festival.
