Jennylyn Mercado Takes A Break From Falling In LoveJennylyn Mercado said she will focus first on her career and her son, Alex Jazz, now that she has zero lovelife. Jennylyn and ex-boyfriend Luis Manzano broke up late last year.
Although she is constantly being linked to actors Benjamin Alves and Luis Alandy, Jen clarified they are not pursuing her.
Right now, what makes Jen happy is her son, Alex Jazz, and her family. Alex Jazz is her son with actor Patrick Garcia.
Jen shared that Alex Jazz will be attending school soon as a preschooler. She even takes care of her son's school needs like preparing his food. He has a special diet, Jen said, so even the utensils being used to cook his food are different.
Also, this coming school year, Jen is adamant that she wants to be the one to pick up her son from school.
Last May 15, Jen celebrated her 27th birthday on the set of "Rhodora X." She doesn't want to request the cancellation of the taping because they would have to work doubly hard the following weeks.
She was touched by her son's gesture, who made a personalized card for her birthday. She came from taping and when she went home, she found the card on her bed. Alex Jazz even drew on it.
Jen said she is contented with her career now. Aside from "Rhodora X" and "Sunday All Stars," she also hosts the cooking show on GMA News TV 11 entitled "Sarap With Family."
She also finished her album, which will be released soon. The carrier single, "Basta't Nandito Ka," was composed by famed musician Vehnee Saturno.
