Rafael Rosell Is Inspired By His Non-Showbiz Girlfriend

Rafael Rosell is due to leave for a short soul-searching trip after he finishes taping for GMA-7's teleserye, "The Borrowed Wife." But when as before Rafael left to find answers, he said he is doing the trip now to thank Him for all the blessings and opportunities that came his way.

Everything in his life now has been positive, Rafael said, adding that there are so many things to thank for in his life. "Now, it’s more on a positive journey because everything right now is good and in its proper place in my life."

One of the things he is most thankful for is his relationship with model Olivia Medina. He finally found someone to share his heart with, Rafael said. They have been together since November last year.

"We’ve been together since November last year and things have been good, positive lahat ng mga nangyayari sa amin."

Rafael said that a lot of positive things have happened in his life ever since he and Olivia got together. She really inspires him a lot, the actor added.

Olivia knows what he has been through and Rafael also knows what happened in her life. "We actually inspire one another, and you can feel that love between us."

"I’m very proud of this relationship because it made me a better person."

Olivia changed him in many ways, Rafael said, that he doesn't want to think or go back to his past anymore. His life before Olivia was all superficial.

"Now things have great meaning to me and she helped me achieved that. I was in the dark for quite a long time."

Rafael said he never thought he can meet someone who will make him realize how beautiful life is. He was enlightened by Olivia, and now looks at things in a more positive light.

The actor said he will miss the people he worked with in "The Borrowed Wife" because they all left a positive impression on him. Everyone in the cast has contributed in Rafael's values-formation.

He learned a lot from them, he said.

Rafael ticked off the things he learned from his co-stars. From Camille Prats, he learned the value of having a close-knit family, and of being strong and independent because your family is there to support you.

From Pauline Luna, Rafael learned the importance of relationship and of fighting for that "genuine love" you have with your partner. Pauleen's boyfriend is comedian-TV host-singer Vic Sotto.

From TJ Trinidad, he learned the value of making time for one's family. He saw how TJ makes time for his family even though he's busy with taping. He remembers that TJ was always talking about his daughter, and Rafael can see that he's crazy about her.

"I’ve absorbed all those good things I learned from these people and hopefully, I would be able to apply [these] in my life."
