After Claudine Barretto Claim, Police And Barangay Say No Shooting Incident Recorded In Malanday From May 8 To 9As Claudine Barretto claimed that someone shot a gun near her house in Barangay Malanday, Marikina City on May 8, the barangay and the police have certified that no shooting incident was recorded from May 8 to 9.
According to Barretto in a May 28 report by Nelson Canlas for GMA News’ 24 Oras, a shattered glass door she showed in a balcony was where one of the bullets hit.
On May 28, Barretto posted on Instagram a letter supposedly coming from the Marban Security and Investigation Agency sent to the Loyola Grand Villas Home Homeowners Association Inc. In the letter, it was said that a security guard heard “multiple gunshots” hence the request to the association to investigate the areas of Guatemala to Amakan streets.
However, according to Pep.ph, they have sourced separate letters from Barangay Malanday and the Malanday Police noting that no shooting incidents were reported in the barangay from May 8 to 9.
“This is to certify that there is no reported shooting incident from any resident of Loyola Grand Villas from the period of May 8-9, 2014,” Malanday Barangay Chairman Joseph Briones said in the letter, the website claims.
Furthermore, the site claims to have procured a copy of the blotter entries logbook for the barangay from May 8, 12:05 a.m. to May 9, 12:30 p.m. Barretto claimed that the gunshots were heard 12:05 a.m. on May 8.
Meanwhile, SPO3 Roy Repante told 24 Oras that their station did not receive any report of a shooting incident in the barangay from May 8 to May 9.
Barretto’s complaint was endorsed by the Marban agency to the Malanday Police station on May 20 and the actress went there with her lawyer Atty. Ferdinand Topacio. The 24 Oras team also went with Barretto to get a copy of the blotter report but the actress was shocked to know that no report was filed with the police.
This news comes after Barretto was rumored to have died. Furthermore, just this May 28, Barretto claimed that there were thieves who tried to enter her home.
