Isko Moreno Denies Rumored Affair With Jackie Ejercito-LopezManila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno denied rumors saying he was the third party in the breakup of Mayor Joseph Estrada's daughter, Jackie Ejercito-Lopez, from Manuel "Beaver" Lopez.
He does not want to dignify such rumors with a response, although he said that Mayor Erap is aware of it. He laughed off the rumors and said that it is being spread to affect his and Mayor Erap's relationship.
"E, ano bang puwedeng intriga sa showbiz? Yun lang naman. It has nothing to do with government service."
He believes that their political enemies are trying to destroy their relationship because they don't have any issues right now. In fact, Isko said they usually support each other's endeavours.
"Nagsusuportahan kami for the betterment of the city. Na kapakinabangan naman ng mga taga-lungsod."
Isko said he usually sees Jackie because she was tasked for the beautification of Manila. She was also the one who handled the campaign of her father, as well as the Miss Manila pageant.
In fact, Isko said Jackie and his wife are partners in the political campaign in 2010.
Isko was married to Diana Lynn Ditan in 2000. They were blessed with five kids--Vincent Patrick, 15; Frances Diane, 13; Joaquin Andre, 11; Franco, 7; and Drake Marcus, 2.
There are rumors that he already separated from his wife. Is he aware of these reports? "Talaga? Kaya nga ang tawag doon, tsismis!"
First of all, Isko said his wife is not really into politics. He has been married for 15 years and until now, his wife has never attended any political events. In fact, his wife is so simple that she can walk in a mall without anyone noticing her.
What's important for Isko is he knows there's no truth to the rumors about him and Jackie. Also, his wife has been very understanding about these things.
Meanwhile, Isko shrugged off the criticisms he and Mayor Erap have been receiving because of the policies they are enacting in Manila.
"Manila is gaining its popularity again with regard to perception that he’s moving heaven and earth to clean up the city and bring back the glorious days of the city of Manila as the capital of the country."
He is happy that Mayor Erap was able to fix the problems with Hong Kong as regards to the 2010 Manila hostage-taking incident. They are all happy and proud to be a part of the administration of the former president.
Tourists are coming over again, and they are focusing on making the city safer for everyone.
He denied that they are having problems in their relationship. "Bakit, magsyota ba kami? But we are very, very in good terms. Working hand-in-hand to clean the city."
They are working to release the city from the P3.5 billion debt left by the previous administration--P600 million with Meralco, P600 million with BIR and P57 million with MWSS.
These are the things they have to address, Isko said, adding that they have already paid some of the debts of the city.
