Carla Abellana Hints That A Kapamilya Star May Be Courting HerAlthough she is not ready yet for another relationship after breaking up with Geoff Eigenmann, Carla Abellana said she has some suitors right now.
One is from ABS-CBN, GMA-7's rival network. Asked if it's Sam Milby, Carla said: "Ay, grabe, susyal! Huwag naman... may ano na yun."
She doesn't know if Sam is dating anyone right now though. Aside from that one actor from the Kapamilya network, there are also some "suitors" from outside the showbiz industry.
Carla doesn't think that she and her Kapamilya suitor have any chemistry. She just described him as a good-looking single actor.
She doesn't think they would click, and she honestly doesn't like him that much. They met in one event and from there on, the guy already made a pass at her.
They haven't dated yet because Carla cannot fit that into her schedule. "Hindi ko alam kung seryoso siya. Pero ayoko, ayoko kasi wala akong maibibigay na time."
Even if he really pursued her, Carla still won't allow herself to be courted at this point in her life. She is doing a movie with some ABS-CBN stars. Is her suitor one of those stars? Carla answered in the negative.
She hinted though that this particular Kapamilya star is quite popular.
Carla always tells her suitors that she's just a waste of time for now because she will be very busy for the next months. She won't be able to pay much attention to their efforts.
She doesn't want them to waste all of their time on her.
Carla denied that she had a relationship with Tom Rodriguez, her co-star in "My Husband's Lover" and "So It's You." It was just a rumor since they worked together.
It's also not a gimmick for their upcoming show on GMA-7, "My Destiny." Carla said they haven't started shooting for the pilot yet.
She also denied that Tom is one of those who are courting her. Last time he was interviewed, Tom mentioned dating someone. Is that someone gone now from his life? Carla doesn't know. She said she'll have to ask Tom about that.
Meanwhile, many noticed that Carla is also very skillful when it comes to hosting "Sunday All Stars." She was just trained well by the beauty pageants she hosted in the past.
She is thankful to GMA-7 for giving her a lot of opportunity to hone that particular skill of her.
Asked to choose between hosting and acting, Carla said hosting is easier than acting. However, since acting offers more opportunities, she would still go with acting.
"Pero bilang hosting is just very limited, and acting naman is almost like every day of your life, mas ano yun, mas regular yun."
Carla doesn't want to comment though on reports that she may be the next primetime queen of GMA-7 after Marian Rivera. She never got where those titles come from or how they are computed, the actress laughed.
"Basta ang alam ko, nandito ako, artista ako, hindi ako nandito para mabigyan ng title. So, nandito ako para lang magtrabaho."
Whatever opportunities GMA-7 will give her, Carla will make sure to do her best.
When the media insisted that she be named the next queen, Carla fended them off. "No, no way! No way, kasi hindi ko alam yung mga titles na 'yan. Not that they don’t matter, pero I don’t honestly know how it works, and hindi ko alam kung paano ma-achieve 'yan."
Whatever she has now, Carla said it's because she worked hard for all of it.
