Jomari Yllana Supports Son Andrei If He Wants To Enter ShowbizJomari Yllana said he cannot do anything anymore if his son, Andrei, wants to enter showbiz like his parents, Jomari and Aiko Melendez.
He cannot take away from his son his desire to enter showbiz because he and Aiko were also still quite young when they became artists.
There is only one condition that Jomari has if Andrei wants to be in showbiz: he has to finish high school first. "Nagugustuhan na kasi niyang mag-artista. Ako naman, susuportahan ko ang anak ko."
At this age, Jomari already was part of "Guwapings" with Mark Anthony Fernandez and Eric Fructuoso. He doesn't want to prevent Andrei from doing something he likes.
If he can finish high school while being in showbiz, then Jomari will feel that Andrei can also finish college while being an actor.
There's no guarantee in showbiz though. "Yung sa akin, gusto ko lang maranasan ng anak ko. Pero ang pag-aartista, walang katiyakan iyan, e. Kailangan sumubok ka talaga."
Back then, Jomari never thought he will be noticed as an actor. That's how he sees showbiz; there's nothing sure about it.
He was surprised that he was able to be who he was in showbiz. "Sasamahan na lang din siguro ng mga dasal ang mga gagawing pagsisikap."
Meanwhile, Jomari shared that he is part of GMA-7's "Half Sisters" now. The last project he did was way, way back. Jomari said he wants to lose weight first before accepting another role again.
It doesn't look good if he looks fat on television. He also chooses his projects well. "Ayoko namang lumabas at tumanggap ng project para lang masabing may ginagawa ako."
He doesn't mind that his career as a Guwaping is over. He had a great time with them. "Sinuwerte na kami noon at sinuwerte rin naman ako sa career. Kanya-kanyang panahon lang ‘yan, kaya bigayan lang."
