Angel Locsin Proves Chemistry With Luis Manzano During Japan TravelAngel Locsin said she proved that she and Luis Manzano get along well together during their recent trip to Japan.
Angel was there to award some Filipinos who helped their kababayans but she also took the time to see Japan's famous tourist spots such as the Universal.
She came from taping "The Legal Wife" the day they left for Japan. Luis was the one who asked her to sleep in the plane, even though Angel wanted to spend time bonding with him.
Angel said that travel tested their relationship because she finally proved that they have chemistry despite of their differences.
"Magkaiba kayo ng gusto, magkaiba kayo ng gising, kaya mo bang tiisin ang taong ito?"
She is happy because they didn't have problems during the time that they were in Japan. "Ano kami, sobrang swak."
Angel said she is thankful to herself for being strong and taking the risk to let Luis be in her life again. They broke up three years ago and started communicating again late last year after their breakups with their partners.
The award-winning actress wouldn't be this happy if she didn't take that risk. It was very hard for her to take Luis back knowing he can hurt her again.
Unlike before, Angel is more open about her lovelife now. In fact, she usually posts photos of her and Luis on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.
Angel explained that she grew up in a "macho" household, and she wasn't taught to be showy with her emotions. That's the way she was, and it has nothing to do with her partner.
However, if there's one thing she learned, it is to let your partner know how you truly feel. Angel said she is proud of Luis and Luis also makes her feel that he is proud of her.
Many are asking if there was a proposal that happened in Japan. Angel joked that she tried to woo Luis but to no avail.
She believes that the proposal will come eventually... and at the right time. For now, they are enjoying the time they are spending with each other. "Tingin din naman namin sa isa’t isa, yun na talaga yun."
She feels lucky to be with Luis and to be accepted by his family. "Napakabait nila sa akin, ibang klase ang pagtanggap nila sa akin, pag-aasikaso, pagtrato... napakabait."
Also, she knows that it is especially hard to find someone who can understand the work she is doing. Luis, fortunately, gets that. Luis also gives importance to her work because he knows that it is important to her.
It is also fortunate that they are both from the same network, and that they understand the work they have to do. "Napaka-supportive niya, na nararamdaman ko na proud siya 'pag may magagandang eskena akong naipakita."
Meanwhile, Angel thanked the viewers and supporters of "The Legal Wife," the top-rating teleserye that just ended on ABS-CBN. The finale episode of the series got 36.2 percent rating.
She is very proud, and also very surprised, about the way the public responded to the series. She hopes that the public was able to learn something from the series, and she also wishes that the series stood as an inspiration to women.
She dismissed rumors that there will be a Book 2 for "The Legal Wife." The way it was ended was already perfect, Angel said.
The actress said that people clamouring for a Book 2 only proved that the series really affected them.
Angel said there is no project lined up for her now, but she wants to be careful in choosing a show with an advocacy like "The Legal Wife."
She believes that ABS-CBN and Star Creative will always make quality shows. "As long as sincere ka sa pagpu-portray mo, sa paghahatid mo ng kuwento, mamahalin ng tao ang show."
