Julia Barretto Is Happy About Outcome Of "Mirabella"

Julia Barretto said she is happy with the end results of her launching soap opera "Mirabella" with Enrique Gil and Sam Concepcion. This is her first project with ABS-CBN, and she was tasked to play dual roles.

She's very happy and satisfied with the ending. She also bonded well with her co-stars. The soap opera only run for four months, but they shot it for one year.

Even the ratings improved by the end of the story. The viewers held on to the plotline. "The story itself, being able to play two roles for your launching, that’s already a big thing. So, it’s satisfying, kasi feeling ko, natapos din naman nang maayos."

Julia learned a lot from the show even though it only run for four months. It's a very challenging project for her, and she experienced a lot while on the set.

She thinks it's a preparation for any upcoming projects for her. She's sad though that it's going to end by July 4. Since they have been taping it for more than a year, she bonded well with the same people for that stretch of time.

"Nakakalungkot siya pero, you know, it’s always exciting to know what’s next for you. What’s ahead."

When it comes to Enrique, Julia said that she's open about falling in love with the actor. Enrique earlier said that it's not impossible for him to fall in love with Julia completely.

Julia joked that they can foretell the future already. She also said that her parents, Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla, are not exactly strict with her.

She's already 17 years old, and she already knows what she must do in her life. "I just have the guidance, they have my back."

Asked what her mother thought of Enrique, Julia said Marjorie thinks he's prettier than her. "Hindi, okey lang, totoo naman!" Julia said Enrique is a nice guy and he's close to her Tita Gretchen Barretto since he played her son in the hit teleserye "Princess And I."

Julia cannot answer directly if she will be allowed to have a boyfriend by her parents. Maybe if it happens, then she will know what exactly is their rule about it.

Enrique and Julia both admitted that they have a deeper relationship because of "Mirabella." For them, it's better that they are friends first rather than lovers from the get-go.

When the intention is to be together as boyfriend-girlfriend, it will be harder to forge a friendship. "Yung iba kasi, iba na yung iniisip. Excited masyado, kaya tuloy nagkaka-conscious na sa isa’t isa. So, lesson one, friendship first."

"Hindi naman kasi automatic na kapag loveteam kayo, dapat maging kayo."

Asked to describe Julia in one word, Enrique said she's a sweetheart. What about Enrique? How will Julie describe him? Enrique is very thoughtful, the young actress said.

After "Mirabella," what will she be doing? They have a show in London, and Julia is planning to extend a few weeks, so she can take a vacation too.

Once she gets home, she will also have another mini vacation before going back to work. She will be with her mother in London.

She hopes that ABS-CBN will give her another major project like "Mirabella."

In the past, Julia has been very vocal about idolizing her aunt, Claudine Barretto, despite a feud between her mother and Claudine.

If Claudine ever watched "Mirabella," does she thinks that her aunt has something to tell her about how she acted? "I wish I could find out. I wish I could get pointers from her."
