Robin Padilla Disses Aljur AbrenicaRobin Padilla refused to talk about Aljur Abrenica, his daughter's Kylie Padilla's ex-boyfriend who allegedly cheated on her, because it will only make him more popular.
"Hindi, hindi ko ibibigay ang opinyon sa inyo diyan. Kasi, sumisikat pa ang ibang tao. Sinaktan na nga ang anak ko, kinakausap niyo pa 'ko tungkol diyan."
"Sinaktan na nga ang anak ko, kinakausap niyo pa 'ko tungkol diyan."
He doesn't want to comment anymore on Aljur because he knows that he raised his children well and they are able to take care of themselves.
He asked Kylie if she was aggravated by Aljur, but his daughter said "no."
Kylie and Aljur broke up while the actress was in Australia apparently because Aljur had an affair with his "Kambal Sirena" co-star, Louise Delos Reyes. Kylie has since moved on from the breakup.
What was Robin's advice to his daughter? He told her to find a "barakong Pilipino." Kylie said she will try to find someone like her father.
Meanwhile, Robin will star alongside Jasmine Curtis-Smith for TV5's fiction-reality series titled "Jasmine." He will play a drunkard ex-policeman who will find his redemption by helping Jasmine in her case.
Robin said he accepted the role because it was challenging and it was something he had never done before. He also missed doing "bad guy" roles.
His presence in the teleserye is a "surprise" from Wilma Galvante, now TV5's creative consultant.
Robin is still under contract with ABS-CBN, but the Kapamilya network allowed him to do a series with the Kapatid network.
He was supposed to play a guest role in GMA-7's "Adarna," which starred his daughter Kylie and Geoff Eigenmann. Robin, however, didn't like the role offered to him because he was going to die.
"Hindi ko nagustuhan ang role, mamamatay ako. Ayoko naman ng mamamatay ako. Yung guest ka na nga lang, mamamatay ka pa, aba, ang pangit naman no'n."
Robin thinks of his role in "Jasmine" as memorable. "Gusto ko yung hindi ko pa nagawa. Lalo na yung ganito, first time in the history sa Pilipinas, yung mga konsepto na pinaghalo ang reality at ang katotohanan."
He's also open to work in TV5 because almost all of the executives there are his friends such as Wilma Galvante.
Asked if he will soon be a Kapatid, Robin joked that it depends on the budget. He said that ABS-CBN always has offers for him, so his decision will just depend on who has the better offer.
He is sure the network bosses understand that he needs to think of his finances also. It is not impossible for him to transfer to TV5.
