Edu Manzano Defends Vilma Santos In Grammar And Spelling IssueEdu Manzano defended his ex-wife Vilma Santos regarding the grammar and spelling issue that hounds her because of Kris Aquino's Instagram post.
Kris posted a photo of the pastries Vilma sent to her with the accompanying card. Netizens, however, noticed that the Star For All Seasons misspelled a word and had a couple of grammatical errors.
Edu said interpretations can vary, and it depends on who's reading the post. That's why he's very careful about what he posts on his social media accounts. He stopped posting on Facebook because he wasn't able to reply or comment that much.
Instagram is easier to use, but he tries to stay away from things that can be misinterpreted.
Edu believes his ex-wife is "old enough" to get through this issue. These are just "small bumps" in the road, and Vilma has been through worse than this.
"Kasi minsan, hindi naman 'yon ang ating punto, pero it's read as such."
People who are active in social media are very easy to judge. They all have a voice, Edu added. He also said that messages in the social media are very easy to be "obscured" and "misinterpreted."
"That's why, I think, sometimes we have a distorted truth of our freedom of speech."
Meanwhile, Edu is excited to be a part of TV5's "Face The People" because it's an "out of the box" project. He has never worked for anything like it before.
He will be hosting the show with Gelli de Belen and Tintin Bersola-Babao.
Edu was well-known for hosting game shows such as "Game N' Go," "Deal or No Deal, "1 versus 100" and "Family Feud."
