Enchong Dee Has A Non-Showbiz GirlfriendEnchong Dee confirmed that he has a non-showbiz girlfriend during the press conference for "Once A Princess," his new movie with Erich Gonzales under Star Cinema and Skylight Films.
Enchong, however, doesn't want to reveal more details about his girlfriend because he is trying to protect her privacy. They have been together for months now, but not more than a year.
That's the beauty about being with someone outside of showbiz, he can keep it a secret until someone finds out or asks about it. He's happy that their relationship is low-key.
Like Erich who just recently posted a photo of her non-showbiz boyfriend after three years of being together, Enchong said he wants to also keep their privacy intact.
It would take time for Enchong to reveal who she is because he wants to protect her from all the buzz of showbiz. He doesn't even want to tell where he met her; he only revealed that she's a Filipina.
He never planned to look for a girlfriend. It just happened, he said, adding that they just saw each other, talked and exchanged numbers.
His siblings already met his girlfriend, but he hadn't had the chance to introduce her to his parents. Also, Enchong hasn't met her parents yet.
Enchong is fond of traveling, but he said that he and his girlfriend haven't had the chance to travel together yet.
Before he admitted to having a non-showbiz girlfriend, Enchong and Dominique Cojuangco, Gretchen Barretto's daughter with businessman Tony Boy Cojuangco, were seen together in showbiz events.
Enchong said they still communicate now, but he never pursued Dominique in that way. He was in London one time to watch the concert of One Direction, but Dominique went home the Philippines.
Enchong said he is sure he will be able to meet Dominique in London one of these days since she is studying there.
He also commented on Dominique's billboard together with Addie Manzano and Sam Rodriguez. Enchong said she's growing to be a beautiful lady.
Meanwhile, Enchong shared that he's happy to work with Erich again, who incidentally was the one who advised him to try having a relationship with a non-showbiz girl. She told Enchong that's it's more normal, quiet and more fun.
Not all love teams are given the chance to reunite in a project, and that's why Enchong is grateful that Star Cinema gave them a chance to do another movie.
"Nabigyan kami ng pagkakataon para mag-work ni Erich, masaya, sana magustuhan ng mga patuloy na sumusuporta sa aming dalawa itong pelikula na ito na ginawa namin."
Having a stable relationship changed Erich in a positive way. She's more secure of herself, so Enchong thinks that was what her relationship provided for her. She's also not very worried about the future.
Erich already knows someone loves her, and she's very secure about that, Enchong noticed.
Even though they have individual relationships outside of showbiz, Enchong said they won't be awkward around each other when doing daring scenes. Erich has always been very professional about her work, he said. Also, he already met her boyfriend. He was even the one to treat him at The Breakfast Club.
In "Once A Princess," Enchong and Erich will also be working with JC de Vera.
Enchong said he missed working with Erich, who he last worked with in the movie "I Do" three years ago. It's a very different project though because "Once A Princess" has a mature theme while "I Do" was a romantic comedy movie.
The actor admitted that he's nervous about the film, which is directed by Laurice Guillen.
