Claudine Barretto Pursues Cases Against Raymart Santiago, Shows Scars And WoundsThe reconciliation between estranged couple Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago has been short-lived. Claudine is now pursuing the cases, which she earlier said she will be withdrawing, against Raymart.
She also did a photoshoot to show the wounds and scars on her right thigh. Apparently, these were signs that she was a battered wife. There were also cigarette burns on her thighs.
Claudine is currently undergoing treatment for these scars and wounds. But according to Dr. Acel Ampong-Chicano, the wounds are not fresh. Since they are highly pigmented, it means these are old wounds and scars.
The source of these wounds and scars are included in the complaint (Violence Against Women and Children Act) she filed against Raymart. She was embarrassed to be a battered wife, and that's why she never even showed these to her family, she said.
Claudine also said she wants to help other women who are going through the same thing. She did not, however, explicitly say that Raymart caused those things.
Atty. Ruth Castelo, the actor's legal counsel, refused to comment on Claudine's new allegations unless the actress "categorically" points to Raymart as the source of those scars and wounds.
Weeks before, Claudine posted a photo of her and Raymart with their kids, Sabina and Santino, in a restaurant in Quezon City. They were celebrating Sabina's and Raymart's birthdays.
Everything seemed to be fine with the estranged couple, and they hinted that there was an agreement already between them.
An issue against Atty. Ruth started these new allegations against Raymart. Claudine's camp accused the lawyer of sabotaging their intent to settle with the actor.
Claudine is filing a complaint against Raymart for not giving financial support to their kids. Also, the custody case will continue. Claudine wants her kids to choose between her and Raymart.
She asked the kids, and they told her that they will decide and tell the judge about it.
Claudine said her children felt bad that Raymart did not attend Sabina's birthday party, and went skydiving instead. He also did not care that Sabina was bitten by her classmate.
Even though Raymart knew the cellphone numbers of his children, he still did not call them, Claudine's camp alleged.
Atty. Ruth said Raymart's skydiving activity was scheduled months ago. Besides, he wasn't invited to the party. He celebrated Sabina's birthday on June 21. They were together then.
