JC De Vera Rushes To The Hospital Because Of OverfatigueJC de Vera said he was rushed to the hospital two weeks ago because of overfatigue from too much work. But the Kapamilya actor clarified he is not complaining because after being dismissed from the hospital, he immediately went back to the projects he left.
He just needed a bit of a time to rest, the actor added. Right now, JC is working on “Once A Princess” with Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales, “Moon of Desire” with Meg Imperial and Ellen Adarna, and various other shows for ABS-CBN and Star Cinema.
If he didn’t transfer to ABS-CBN, would he have the same opportunities he is enjoying now? Before ABS-CBN, JC was first a talent of GMA-7 and TV5. He said all the networks he has been with have been very generous in terms of giving him projects. It just so happened that ABS-CBN has the perfect timing for him.
He is grateful to the Kapamilya network for including him in “The Legal Wife,” which received high ratings and a very positive feedback from the viewers. JC said it was an answered prayer for him.
And because he was always busy, JC said it’s hard for him to find someone to date right now. His last girlfriend was Danita Paner when he was with TV5. All he does now is go to tapings and shoot for his scenes. He is not taking for granted the opportunities that are coming his way because he is able to save up for the future.
Even if the media come with him every day, they would see that all he does is work, JC said. He is now doing out-of-town and out-of-the-country shows, something he didn’t do before. So, JC said he’s not really looking for anyone to date right now.
Meanwhile, he shared what it was like to work with Erich in their new movie, which will be shown in August. JC said it was a joy to work with her because she was very nice and accommodating. He introduced himself to her during the first day of taping. Erich even asked him to eat dinner with her, so they would have time to get to know each other.
JC said he feels comfortable working for Star Cinema and ABS-CBN staff now because they make sure he feels welcome on the set. It’s a good feeling to come to the set every day and not get pressured or tensed by your co-stars, the actor added.
In “Once A Princess,” JC will be portraying a gray character. This was a first time for him but luckily, director Laurice Guillen was there to guide him. It is a challenge for him to be in this character because he’s not sure yet what kind of choices he will make—whether good or bad.
After “Once A Princess,” JC and Erich will be teaming up again for another project.
