Alden Richards Hopes For The Best For Aljur AbrenicaAlden Richards is not sure now if his movie, “Cain at Abel,” with Aljur Abrenica will still push through following the complaint filed by Aljur against GMA Network. Aljur wanted the network to release him from his contract, which is due to end in 2017, because it allegedly mismanaged his career.
Alden hasn’t spoken with Aljur yet, so he is not sure what will happen with their project. Alden and Aljur are batchmates in “Starstruck.”
The actor is worried, though, about his friend. He knows that Aljur is facing a lot of challenges now, and that he needs the support of his family, friends and fans. He is only praying that Aljur made the right decision to come after GMA-7.
Hopefully, everything will turn out right, Alden added.
He said that Aljur never mentioned anything to him regarding his plan to rescind his contract. He understands that Aljur wants to do something with his career—something he is not seeing with the network’s decisions for him. He hopes his friend will be able to surpass the challenges he is facing.
Alden said there’s no reason for Aljur to be envious of what he has under his contract. He is simply working and doing his best in his career. He is not taking for granted the projects being given to him. Alden said he loves his craft and he won’t do anything that will take it away from him.
For now, Alden is preparing for his hosting stint “Bet Ng Bayan” with Regine Velasquez and the historical series “Ilustrado,” where he will play the role of Jose Rizal.
