Morissette Amon Signs Contract With Star RecordsMorissette Amon, a finalist of "The Voice of the Philippines, has been dubbed as the country's "Next Big Diva" during her contract signing with Star Records on Thursday (August 14).
Jonathan Manalo, the audio content head of Star Records, said that Morissette is not just any ordinary diva who can hit high notes because she has a very distinct tone that can suit many music genres. He also said that her versatility will be highlighted in her upcoming album.
The one-year contract will allow Morissette to showcase her talent and singing prowess. She is not afraid to be compared with her idol and "The Voice" coach, Sarah Geronimo.
It is already expected that she will be compared to Sarah because everyone knows she's her idol, Morissette said. She added that she is determined to hone her talent and show that she has something to offer to the public.
She wants to prove that she's more than just Coach Sarah's "clone," and that she can offer something different too. Given the chance, Morissette wants to work with Enrique Gil or Sam Concepcion because they are already friends.
Morissette was the one who interpreted the theme song for "Moon Of Desire." She is now currently busy promoting the song "Akin Ka Na Lang," one of the 15 song finalists at the "Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2014."
After "Himig Handog," Morissette will start working on her album.
