Kris Lawrence Supports Jay-R For Transferring To ABS-CBN

Kris Lawrence said he supports his bestfriend, Jay-R, in his decision to transfer to ABS-CBN. He was one of the first to know about the singer's decision to be a Kapamilya.

Kris said that maybe Jay-R felt he wasn't growing on GMA-7 anymore, and that is why he decided to go to the Kapamilya network. Kris and Jay-R live together, but he didn't want to comment about his transfer because it should be up to Jay-R to announce it.

As for him, he has no plans to go back to ABS-CBN, where he won as second place on the now defunct singing contest, "Star In A Million." Kris said he is still happy with GMA-7. He transferred to the network after his contract with ABS-CBN expired.

He is thankful to GMA-7 because he has enough projects to be able to support his family. He has a daughter with girlfriend, Katrina Halili.

Kris said he does not fear that Jay-R will eventually fade from the limelight because ABS-CBN has many great singers. At first, he feared that but Kris said he trusts his friend's decision, and he has been in the industry longer than him.

There are times he wants to advise Jay-R not to do a certain thing, but he knows that the singer knows what he's doing. He knows that Jay-R will not do anything to jeopardize his career.

Kris said he owes Jay-R so much because he was the one who opened the doors of showbiz for him.

Meanwhile, Kris admitted that he still has dreams of an international hit as an artist. It's never too late to start reaching for that dream. "Nothing is impossible for as long as you believe in yourself and work hard towards it."

He also wants to have a solo concert, especially since this is his 10th anniversary in the industry. Kris said his concert might be held at the Meralco Theatre in Ortigas, Pasig.
