Luis Manzano Talks With Dad Edu About MarriageLuis Manzano may have talked to his dad, former matinee idol Edu Manzano, about his plans to settle down eventually, but the Kapamilya host-actor clarified there were no details yet.
Luis and girlfriend Angel Locsin are very open to the possibility that they may get married in the coming years. Angel said it is a sure thing already that they will end up together.
The host-actor said there were no details discussed, but his family knows they're both at the right age to settle down. He was merely talking about that he's at the right time in his life to start thinking about marriage.
He wants Angel to be the first one to know once he has finalized everything. Luis wants to do it the right way--ask for their parents' permissions.
The showbiz industry had seen couples getting engaged left and right. Recently, Dingdong Dantes and Senator Chiz Escudero proposed to their respective girlfriends--Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista.
Luis congratulated the couples, but said it doesn't mean he and Angel need to jump into the same pool. They have their own timeline and they don't need to follow anybody.
They both want to fulfill their goals first before getting engaged. Luis said it may be this year or next year.
Angel hasn't been seen in showbiz for a while, so Luis was asked what she has been up to. He said Angel enjoys being a regular person now. She detached herself from showbiz commitments and social media because of how exhausted she was with making "The Legal Wife."
Her last Instagram post was of the ice bucket challenge she did with Luis. She's simply enjoying some peace and quiet, her boyfriend said.
He asked her fans to give Angel some space. She's usually just at home with friends, or she goes to the grocery or home depot.
Luis said they'll have a date after his interview. Angel has more free time now while Luis is busier.
She's also preparing to reprise her role as "Darna." Aside from that, she's also possibly doing another movie with Luis' mother, Star For All Seasons and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos. He is not sure, though, if this movie will push through.
Meanwhile, Luis answered allegations that he and Angel simply did the ice bucket challenge because it was becoming popular. Luis posted on his Facebook page that he hoped people knew what the challenge was for.
He shared that they did the challenge at 11PM in his house. They were nominated by Anne Curtis as a couple, but there were other separate nominations too.
For him, it's not important that a person donates or not when doing the challenge. As long as he/she raised awareness then maybe the person he/she will nominate will be the one to donate.
Do it the right way, Luis said, adding that there was no point in joining the challenge if you don't understand the cause.
Luis will be hosting "The Voice of the Philippines Season 2" with Toni Gonzaga, Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo. This is the first time he'll be working with Toni in this kind of a project, so he's excited for it.
This is a different experience for Luis because he doesn't need to be too careful anymore with adults. He hosted "The Voice Kids PH." He’s ecstatic and proud to know that "The Voice Kids" top four have gained a strong following from fans.
