Kaye Abad Wants To Work With John Lloyd Cruz

Kaye Abad said she missed working with her former on-screen partner and ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.

Hopefully, they'll get a chance to work even for "Maalaala Mo Kaya." The last time she worked with Lloydie was in the youth-oriented show "Tabing Ilog."

Kaye said Lloydie was a good actor back then, but he's different now. Of course, she wants to work with the current Box Office King.

Kaye was able to maintain a good relationship with her ex-boyfriends. How did she do it? She is friends with all her exes, including Parokya Ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, who she has been for seven years.

The actress said because her relationships were mostly long-term, she was able to cultivate a friendship with her ex-boyfriends' families. That's why she doesn't like speaking about the reasons why they broke up because it would affect her friendship with the families.

Kaye will have her first primetime series for ABS-CBN which is the Pinoy remake of the hit Koreanovela "Two Wives." She will play the role of Yvonne, who found out her husband has been keeping a mistress.

In the end, her husband (played by Jason Abalos) would get into an accident and fall in love with her again because he couldn't remember his mistress, Janine (Erich Gonzales).

Kaye said she feels pressured because she now has a show in primetime. She has prayed hard for this, and asked for it if it was really meant for her. It was "too good to be true" because she's happy in her career, lovelife and family.

Her current boyfriend Paul Jake Castillo has been a positive influence on her. He always tells her that the project was given to her because she deserves it.

She considers this her biggest break, Kaye said. Originally, the teleserye was for afternoon, but the management decided to place it for primetime. Kaye was pressured even more.

She never felt impatient when it comes to her career because her mentor, director Olive Lamasan, always tells her to be patient for her big break.

Everyone wants to be a star, but Kaye only wants to be known as a good actress. It's a blessing for her to be given a good project like this.

Reportedly, GMA-7 was interested on Kaye. The actress affirmed this, but that was even before "Angelito." She is very loyal to ABS-CBN because she has always been contented with what the network has in store for her.

The projects may not come one after the other, but all of them are very promising. And she's being given very challenging roles, Kaye said.

Kaye has many bashers on the Internet primarily because the public thought she's going to be the lead in the story. In the Koreanovela version, Kaye's character was the lead.

She said she doesn't get offended by this because Erich truly has more fans than her since she was already a lead in "Katorse." However, Kaye doesn't think that she's the lead of the series because their characters are both important.

Meanwhile, the actress said her boyfriend has always been very supportive of her. Although she is busy with projects, she tries hard to have time for their relationship.

Will Paul Jake allow her to go daring? The actress said it's okay as long as it's not too much. She allows herself to do kissing scenes, but nothing more than that.

Asked about her good disposition, Kaye said she just makes sure she has a positive thinking.
