Jed Madela To Receive Hall Of Fame Award From World Championship Of Performing ArtsJed Madela will receive a Hall of Fame award from the World Championship of Performing Arts in July, PEP.PH learned.
He said that he was both surprised and happy about the news. He said that he will be back in Hollywood in July to receive the hall of fame award.
He will again have a chance to perform at the 17th World Championship of Performing Arts.
Madela won in the said festival in 2005.
The Hall of Fame award is being given to people who have made an impact in the industry they are in, so Madela said that it is a very big honor for him.
He said that other celebrities and personalities who will receive the Hall of Fame award are Liza Minnelli, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jennifer Holiday.
At first, Madela thought that it was all just a joke.
But he said that now that he has finally realized the importance of what he is going to receive, he felt humbled by it.
Madela said that in the future, his name will still be remembered in the festival even if he is not part of the industry anymore.
He is the first Filipino to be inducted in the Hall of Fame.
Usually, those who are being inducted there are veteran artists, Madela shared.
Aside from the award, Madela will also be coming out with a new album, the Jed Madela All Originals.
It will be his first album with Star Records, and he will be singing all-original brand new songs.
The album has 10 tracks in it that were composed by some of the best songwriters in the music industry such as Jimmy Antiporda, Trina Belamide, Soc Villanueva and Jungee Marcelo.
The album was produced by Jonathan Manalo.
Madela said that instead of high-pitched love songs, his album will sound different. He said that he will have upbeat tracks, R&B, classic and even Kundiman.
