Running For Public Office Is Not Part Of Dingdong Dantes' Plans NowKapuso primetime king Dingdong Dantes denied he has plans to run as senator in the coming 2016 elections. Dingdong has been very active in government work, and is the ambassador for the National Youth Commission.
The actor is also very close to President Benigno Aquino III.
In the recent survey of Pulse Asia, Dingdong was listed as one of the senatorial preferences. He got the ranking of 28-30 with 11.1 percent of the 1,200 respondents planning to vote for him if elections is held today.
It's not part of his plans right now, though, Dingdong said, adding that he is focused on building his future family with fiance Marian Rivera and his work in NYC and GMA Network.
Meanwhile, Dingdong shared that they are finalizing their wedding preparations already for the December 30 ceremony in Quezon City.
One of his groomsmen would be KC Montero because he has been his friend ever since "SOP" days on GMA-7. Although there are still things that they have to fix, the wedding is slowly coming to light.
Dingdong is very excited about it. He wants to make sure, too, that the preparations for the wedding are going smoothly. They don't argue about anything because Dingdong feels that their wedding is especially for Marian. Whatever will make his fiancé happy, he will try his best to give it to her.
He did not give any details, though, as to where they are planning to stay after getting married. Marian has a house and a condo unit while Dingdong has two houses.
He denied that their plan to build a house together first was the reason why their engagement period lasted for two years.
