Kim Chiu Is Privileged To Work With Coco MartinKim Chiu said working with Coco Martin for "Ikaw Lamang" has been an absolute "learning experience" for her.
She saw how dedicated he is in his work--that he is not merely a good actor, but he is involved in the whole process. Kim learned it is not impossible for her opinions to matter and to be heard in production.
Whenever she sees Coco in a scene, she's always wowed by how deep he is as an actor, and how different he is when he's laughing and bonding with them.
She witnessed how Coco prepares for his role. He usually gets quiet when he is about to approach a heavy scene.
Kim said she feels privileged to work with him and other stars in "Ikaw Lamang" such as Amy Austria, Nonie Buencamino, Christopher de Leon and Joel Torre, among others. Maybe ABS-CBN also saw something in her to cast her in the show, which taped for almost a year.
Coco will soon celebrate his 33rd birthday, so Kim decided to let slip what her leading man's wish is. Coco told her he has never traveled for leisure. It is always for work.
Asked what her birthday gift for Coco would be, Kim said it's a secret for now.
"Ikaw Lamang" is about to end, so Kim is feeling a little nostalgic about it. She feels sad because she will no longer be able to see her co-stars on a daily basis. They have worked together for a year.
She worked with a lot of artists in "Ikaw Lamang" because it aired for almost a year--from Book 1 to Book 2. There are 34 artists for "Ikaw Lamang," which is one of ABS-CBN's hit teleseryes airing on primetime.
In that span of time, she has gotten to know her co-stars better, especially Coco. Although he's usually a silent type of person, when Coco starts to laugh, he will not be able to stop for 10 minutes. The whole crew and staff would end up laughing with him, Kim said.
She feels relaxed because although the series is a heavy drama, they are happy as a crew after the camera stops rolling.
If she will be the one to decide, she wants a happy ending for "Ikaw Lamang" because it has been very heavy since the start.
Meanwhile, Kim shared some tips on how to manage time since she is one of the most in-demand actresses in showbiz today and she has endorsements left and right.
Aside from "Ikaw Lamang," she also had shows in the US and Canada. She's also doing a movie and managing a business.
She remains focused on what she needs to do, Kim said, adding that she doesn't do things all at the same time because she doesn't want to get pressured.
Kim simply concentrates on what is before her. "Katulad nito, nagti-taping, dito muna ako naka-concentrate.
