Marvin Agustin Goes Back To ABS-CBNMarvin Agustin said he's going back to his home network ABS-CBN for a new daytime soap opera. He will be a part of the new series "Flor de Liza," which will replace the timeslot to be vacated by "Be Careful With My Heart."
"Flor de Liza" is based from the 1981 film by Janice de Belen and the late Julie Vega.
Marvin said he's going back for one project that will be directed by Wenn Deramas, the director of "Moron 5.2" that also starred the actor. He said he's happy to be doing this series with ABS-CBN.
Contrary to previous rumors, Marvin said there is no confirmation yet if he will be working here with former girlfriend and on-screen partner Jolina Magdangal. The two were a hit loveteam during the 1990s.
Marvin said the production is still fixing the cast for the show. There are many names cropping up. The actor shared that some of these names have been confirmed already while some are still pending.
For his part, Direk Wenn said there are still things being fixed in the negotiation with Jolina. He also doesn't know if she will be a part of the series. He hasn't heard from the management yet.
Direk Wenn is approved of the "throwback" tandem of Marvin and Jolina. Although he was not able to work with them before, he's really hoping he will have that chance now.
Asked if Marvin is officially with ABS-CBN and not with TV5 anymore, the actor curtly said he's with the Kapamilya network right now.
Jolina and Marvin started as Star Magic talents before their tandem took off in the 1990s. In 2006, Marvin transferred to GMA-7 and starred in various teleseryes.
In 2012, he made some projects with TV5 including "Artista Academy," "Karinderya Wars" and "Obsession."
