Liza Soberano Admits Crush On Enrique GilLiza Soberano admitted she also has a crush on loveteam partner Enrique Gil. The two star in the ABS-CBN primetime series "Forevermore."
Enrique earlier said Liza had been his crush since before he worked with her.
Liza said she found it awkward to be around Enrique before not because she knew she's his crush, but she just can't look at him in the eyes.
However, since they started shooting for the series, she has become comfortable with him. They spent so many days working in Baguio, where the series will take place.
They became closer while doing the series because they're able to bond and talk a lot about their dreams. Liza realized that Enrique has a lot of dreams for his family. He also tells her a lot about what he wants to pursue in life.
Enrique said before that not only do they somehow look alike, but they also have very similar personalities.
Liza said she used to think that Enrique's just handsome and a good dancer, but she saw now that he's also a good person because he treats people well.
Even though they have mutual admiration for each other, Liza said she's not ready to be in a relationship yet, and Enrique knows that. Her focus is on her career.
She's also quite young to have a boyfriend. Liza's only 16 years old. Her father told her she can only have a boyfriend when she's 25 years old, but she bargained for 22.
Her father said she can accept suitors at 22 years old and then only commit with him when she's 25 years old already.
Ogie Diaz, Liza's manager, said he wants his ward to have two houses, one condo unit and two cars.
Meanwhile, Liza still cannot believe that it was Enrique who requested to Malou Santos, head of Star Creatives and managing director of Star Cinema, for them to be paired in a project.
He suggested this when they were still working together in "She's The One" that starred Dingdong Dantes and Bea Alonzo.
Liza said she's touched and surprised because they didn't even talk that much when they were making the film. She thought Enrique was bored with her.
Liza added that she's overwhelmed and very thankful with the opportunity given to her by ABS-CBN to star in "Forevermore."
She actually felt it was too early for her to be given her own project since she had only been a part of two teleseryes, so far. "I’m very happy and thankful na nakita nila ang potential sa akin."
Liza dismissed their series’ comparison with the Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa starrer of the same title in 2002. The only thing similar between this series and the 2002 movie was the title.
The young actress doesn't feel nervous, adding that there's no competition. She's simply focused to be better here than her last teleserye.
"It's always a competition between myself and not against others."
But though Liza is fast becoming recognized as an actress these days, she still wants to pursue her dream of being a lawyer. She was inspired by her aunt, who's also a lawyer.
Liza said she wants to help the less fortunate.
