Paulo Avelino Respects KC Concepcion's Opinion On Him Having A SonPaulo Avelino said he respects KC Concepcion's opinion that one of the things stopping her from committing to him is the fact that he has a son already.
Paulo has a son, Ethan Akio, with former partner LJ Reyes.
He seemed not aware of KC's statement, which the actress-singer said after she was discharged from the hospital wherein Paulo was the one who took care of her. KC suffered from dengue. She later admitted it was Paulo who took care of her and gave her “yakapsul.”
One time, she even posted a video of Paulo playing the guitar on her bedside. Paulo said he just wanted to make KC feel better.
KC also said they are very good friends and she's not saying that it'll never progress from that, but Paulo is a single dad and she may not be ready to commit herself to someone with a child already.
Paulo said he respects KC for that because she has the right to choose what she wants for herself, although this does not really discourage him from pursuing her.
He has a son, and that's a fact, Paulo said. "Siguro parte na ng sukatan kung mamahalin ako ng tao ay mahal ang anak ko."
KC already met Paulo son briefly. It was okay, Paulo said. They had a very casual meet-up, and Aki's usually very friendly.
One of the things KC said during her interview is that they haven't exchanged I love you’s yet. What is stopping Paulo from saying that? The actor said it has to be a combination of sweet words and stronger actions.
It's better if there's balance in everything, he added.
Asked if they plan to go out again, Paulo said they haven't talked yet although they might see each other that night--Coco Martin's birthday party. As it turned out, KC did arrive to the party.
Paulo is open to work with KC because he wants to experience working with different actors.
He clarified that they are best friends, and they are both single, so there's nothing wrong if they go out at times. Asked if he loves KC, he simply said he loves all of his friends.
Paulo has plans to go out of the country, but he doesn't know yet if KC will be going with him.
Meanwhile, the actor said he will be doing a project for ABS-CBN, as well as a movie under Regal Films titled "Mara."
Since Paulo, who worked with Coco in "Walang Hanggan," attended his birthday party, he was asked for a wish for the award-winning actor.
Paulo wished for Coco to have more projects and success in his career, and to attain his dreams for his family.
