LJ Reyes Is Happy For Paulo Avelino And KC ConcepcionIf there is ever truth to the rumors that Paulo Avelino and KC Concepcion are together, LJ Reyes will be happy for them.
LJ is Paulo's former partner. They have a son, Ethan Akio.
The actress is aware that KC is fond of children also, so she would have no problem sharing Aki with her and Paulo. In fact, it would be good because Aki would have two mothers already, she joked.
Asked if she's dating anyone, LJ said she wants Paulo to be the one to date first. She wants to be careful in her next relationship because Aki is here already.
She doesn't want Aki to get to know anyone who she is not sure with. Although she is open to be in a relationship again, the guy should accept her son or it would be "no deal!"
LJ said she is sure Paulo is more mature now than before. KC and Paulo are both grown-ups and they know what they need to do, she added.
Whatever she and Paulo have gone through, that's in the past already. She is sure he already learned from it.
KC's grandmother, Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta, passed away already. LJ said she sent her condolences to KC through a Viber group thread for Marian Rivera's bridal shower. Marian and KC are also close friends.
Meanwhile, LJ is part of the indie film "Bigkis." Although there are many good feedbacks about her role here, she's not expecting any awards.
Whenever she hears good comments about her performance, that's like winning already for her.
"Bigkis" will also star Mike Tan, Lauren Young, Rich Asuncion, Rosanna Roces, Enzo Pineda, Perla Bautista, Rico Barrera and Pancho Magno.
Directed by Neal Tanay, the film is an advocacy on the importance of breastfeeding and the effect of unwanted pregnancy on the youth.
LJ is very happy doing indie films because she's able to portray different roles. She learned a lot from "Bigkis," "Intoy Siyokoy" and "The Janitor."
It's not only the roles that she's attracted to, there are also the stories and the people in the production.
She feels that it's a compliment when everyone says she's for "indie." It's a different feeling doing independent films because there is budget constraint and better stories.
LJ once posed for "FHM," but is she ready to make more daring films? She never closed doors on any role, she added. As long as it's important to the story, she thinks she will be open to it.
"I’m sure, kung sakaling gagawa man ako ng ganoon, iyong talagang may kabuluhan kung bakit ko gagawin iyon."
