Cristine Reyes Undergoing Marriage CounselingCristine Reyes said she and her non-showbiz boyfriend, Ali Khatibi, are undergoing marriage counseling to prepare them for the future.
Although they don't have concrete plans of marrying in the future, they want to prepare as much as possible because they will already have a baby.
Cristine, after her performance on "ASAP 19," announced that she is pregnant. She earlier denied being pregnant, although she explained that this was not because she was trying to keep it a secret.
The actress is already six months pregnant by December. Before she announced it, Cristine made sure she and her baby are alright. By now, she's already 100 percent sure that they'll be safe.
During the first three months of her pregnancy, the public thought she was hiding her baby. That's not true. Cristine explained that it was a difficult pregnancy for her, and she wanted to be sure first before announcing it.
Her doctor advised her to rest and not to go out that much. Cristine heeded her doctor's advice. She didn't even work out.
Cristine said it was a planned pregnancy. She and Ali wanted to have a baby already. She recalled how they found out about it. They were together when she did a pregnancy test. When they tested in the morning, it was still negative but at night, it was already positive.
They first told their families about it, and they were happy and excited. Her sister, Ara Mina, is also very supportive of her pregnancy. During a taped video message shown on "The Buzz," Ara said she's proud of Cristine because not everyone has the courage to admit something like a pregnancy.
Ara is also pregnant with her baby with Bulacan Mayor Patrick Meneses.
The actress-politician said Cristine wanted to have a baby as early as last year. She's excited because there will be additional members of their family.
"Alam mo namang mahal na mahal kita, nagkaaway na tayo, nagkabati na tayo, pero andito pa rin ako, andito pa rin ang ate mo." Ara advised Cristine not to stress herself, so the baby won't be affected.
Meanwhile, Cristine admitted she's also scared of what will happen to her showbiz career once she took some time off to raise her baby. However, she's also confident ABS-CBN, Viva and her fans won't leave her.
Despite these fears, the actress has no regrets. She's happy and contented with all that she has achieved in her life and her career. Right now, there's no need for her to worry.
She also has enough savings to raise a family, Cristine said.
