Jennylyn Mercado Prefers Non-Showbiz GuyThe next time Jennylyn Mercado has a relationship, she would prefer it to be with a non-showbiz guy. She also said she's not ready for a relationship.
This was in response to Derek Ramsay's pronouncement that he wants a non-showbiz girlfriend next time. Jen and Derek are starring in "English Only, Please," an entry for the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival.
Jen discovered a lot about Derek during the film. She did not expect for him to be that open, professional and nice. Asked if it's possible for them to be together, Jen did not refuse directly. Instead, her doors will remain open for anything.
As much as possible, she wants a non-showbiz guy. However, she also doesn't want to close her doors. She believes God will bring her to the right person.
She denied that she has gotten back together with ex-boyfriend Dennis Trillo. They recently had a duet on her new album, and they were seen having dinner together. They were friends even before the duet, the actress-singer added.
After they had a closure, they became good friends again, Jen said, adding that there's nothing wrong to be friends with one's ex.
She seemingly closed her doors on Dennis when she said all she can offer him is her friendship. She just doesn't want to talk about relationships because she's not ready for anything like that.
For now, she's enjoying the single life and dating around. She sees nothing wrong in that. Jen's last boyfriend was Luis Manzano, who's with Angel Locsin already.
