Marian Rivera Clarifies "Royal Wedding" TagKapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera said it was GMA-7 who gave the "royal wedding" tag to her impending marriage to fiance Dingdong Dantes.
She never asked for that, and she is humbled by it, Marian said, adding that she is contented with just being "Marian and Dingdong."
Some said their December 30 wedding will be the "Wedding of the Decade" and "Wedding of the Year." Marian said we will know if they are worthy of such titles after the wedding itself. What's important is that they are both happy and they are looking forward to their marriage.
Marian had six bridal showers. The last one was thrown for her by the Belo Medical Group. Marian said she doesn't want to compare the parties thrown for her because each and every one is special in their own way.
All of the parties thrown for her are important because she values the people behind them. As a bride, she only wants to maintain a happy aura.
She welcomes all kinds of bridal showers because these people truly love and care for her.
Despite their busy schedule, Dingdong continues to fulfill his role as the commissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission. He is currently in Cebu to educate the people there about disasters.
Marian said she admires Dingdong even more when he fulfills his duties despite being busy with his career and their wedding. The actress said she's okay with Dingdong's advocacies because what matters is that at the end of the day, they are together.
They both know what their priorities are, and Marian is willing to support Dingdong in whatever he wants.
Is Dingdong planning to run for office in 2016? Marian said he never mentioned anything about that. Her fiance is active in public service because that is what he wants to do. That is his passion, the actress said.
Meanwhile, Marian confirmed that the reception of their wedding will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. She cannot say how many guests will attend their wedding.
Although she is aware of the plans for their wedding, Dingdong still has many surprises in store for her, so she's looking forward to that.
They chose a big venue because they want to make sure they will be able to invite the people who love and care for them genuinely. As much as she wants for everyone to be there, that won't be possible, of course.
Marian and Dingdong plan to have a baby immediately after getting married. Hopefully, Marian said they will be blessed with a child.
Their Christmas plans will still be the same. They will spend December 24 with Dingdong's family while December 25 will be in Cavite, Marian's hometown.
For New Year, they will spend it with Marian's father, who will be coming home from Spain.
She cannot say what her showbiz plans are after their wedding because her priority is to build a family with Dingdong. All her showbiz plans will depend on whether or not she will become pregnant.
