Dingdong Dantes Has No Plans To Join Politics For NowIt has long been rumored that Kapuso primetime actor Dingdong Dantes is planning to join politics in 2016. This is because he has been very active in public service for the past years.
However, Dingdong has never confirmed this. In fact, he has always refused to entertain such questions. In the latest Pulse Asia survey, Dingdong got 11.1 percent share of votes for those who want to run as senator.
As of now, though, Dingdong has no plans and his concentration is to build his family with Marian Rivera. The two will get married on December 30.
Meanwhile, Dingdong said he is very proud of his 2014 Metro Manila Film Fest entry "Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles." It has been very challenging to do the film, and he can feel it will be accepted warmly by the public.
As early as now, they are already thinking about doing the third part of the series.
In the 2014 MMFF entries, there are three horror films: "Kubot," "Feng Shui 2," and "Shake, Rattle & Roll XV."
The difference with his film is that it's more of a "crossover" of horror, comedy, adventure and even action. "It's a little bit of everything," the actor said.
They saw that the strength of the first installment, "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles," lies on its use of both horror and comedy.
The other MMFF entries are "straight horror," Dingdong said. "Kubot" has a different variety.
Aside from Dingdong, "Kubot" will star Isabelle Daza, KC Montero, Joey Marquez, Lotlot de Leon, Elizabeth Oropesa, Hannah Ledesma, Jun Sabayton, Julie Anne San Jose, Abra and Ramon Bautista.
