Xian Lim Shrugs Off Negative Issues After Removal From "Bridges"

Xian Lim just shrugged off issues that hound him after his role in ABS-CBN's upcoming series "Bridges" was given to Paulo Avelino.

Officially, ABS-CBN said they are replacing Xian because he will be doing a teleserye with Kim Chiu. Some others, however, speculate that Xian was removed from the series because he could not deliver well against such intense actors as Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales.

His role was originally meant for John Lloyd Cruz but was given to him because Lloydie has yet to finalize the negotiations on his contract. Just recently, ABS-CBN announced that Xian's involvement with "Bridges" is cut short. He was replaced by Paulo.

Xian said he doesn't know where these negative rumors are coming from. He asked fans to stop paying attention to that because he's not affected anyway.

He congratulated Paulo because the role fits him very well. In fact, when Xian was reading the script, all he can say is that the role would fit Paulo, who has been receiving rave reviews on his acting, very well.

Xian explained that it's the management decision to bring back his loveteam with Kim. He trusts the management, and thinks it's actually good they're reviving his loveteam with Kim. After all, he's merely an employee, Xian said.

"Kung ano ang ibigay nila sa akin, I know they know what to do."

Meanwhile, Xian shared that he doesn't know yet about his teleserye with Kim, although they are bound to start taping by February.

He hasn't been seen on television for a while, so he's actually excited to come back again. He knows that a lot of their fans have been missing them, so he's happy to test their chemistry again.

They haven't worked together for a year, so it'll surely be a different experience now.

Xian also reacted to news that his last movie with Kim, "Past Tense," was as not warmly received as their previous teamups, "Bakit Di Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo" and "Bride For Rent."

The actor said he thinks it was well received, and that the people actually appreciated "Past Tense" more. He was witness to that because he attended at least 30 block screenings of the movie.
