Atty. Ferdinand Topacio Withdraws As Claudine Barretto's Legal CounselAtty. Ferdinand Topacio has withdrawn as Claudine Barretto's legal counsel in a number of criminal charges she filed against estranged husband Raymart Santiago.
However, he and his Topacio Law Office will still handle the Violance Against Women and their Children Act (VAWC) case that Claudine filed against the actor.
The lawyer said his withdrawal as Claudine's legal counsel in most of her criminal cases filed at the Regional Trial Court, the Marikina City Prosecutor's Office and the Department of Justice has the consent of the actress.
Aside from the VAWC complaint, Atty. Topacio will also handle the issues of custody and support of Claudine's and Raymart's children up to the Regiomal Trial Court level only. The case is nearing resolution.
Atty. Topacio said they were honored to represent Claudine, and they will continue to give legal advice and support until she finds new representation. They also wished her success in her future endeavor.
