Kim Chiu Forgives But Never ForgetsTo err is human, to forgive, divine. Kim Chiu recently revealed that she has already forgiven her former boyfriend Gerald Anderson and former best friend Maja Salvador. However, the 23-year-old actress also admitted that she is not forgetting what she went through because of that controversy.
In an interview with TV host Boy Abunda on ‘The Buzz,’ which aired last Sunday (April 21), Chiu was not able to resist being emotional while in the discussion. She cried tears while talking about her feud with Salvador, whom, she said she considered as a best friend and as a sister in the past. Chiu’s appearance on the celebrity talk show coincided with her 23rd birthday celebration.
Chiu pointed out that despite their gap, she has been able to successfully keep her professionalism during tapings of her primetime drama series ‘Ina Kapatid Anak.’ She co-stars with Salvador on the show. It can be recalled that the two stars had a falling out weeks after the initial telecast of the series. Some observers note that the feud has been attracting controversy that somehow helps maintain public interest in the currently No. 1 primetime TV show.
The tension escalated when reports confirmed that Maja and Anderson are really seeing each other romantically. The reported romance started in January of this year. Chiu and Anderson reportedly broke up in September 2010. Since then, Anderson has been romantically linked to several other actresses, including Bea Alonzo and Sarah Geronimo.
Several weeks ago, Chiu and Geronimo were seen hugging each other when they accidentally bumped into each other in a showbiz event. The scene was captured on pictures, which circulated across the Internet. Kibitzers thought the two had a heart-to-heart talk about their common denominator (Anderson). Geronimo also hinted her bitterness over the supposed Salvador-Anderson relationship.
When asked by Abunda about her birthday wish, Chiu said she is asking God to provide her more strength to defend herself. She expressed gratitude that so far, God is helping her win her battles. She added that the recent events in her life made her realize that it is really difficult to find trustworthy friends. But she is thankful that her family and fans are always there for her when she needs support and love.
Chiu revealed that she only has a couple of trusted friends. She further disclosed that when she was growing up, she did not keep permanent friends since her family always had to relocate from one place to another. Chiu’s family had resided briefly at Cebu, Tacloban, General Santos City, Mindoro, Cagayan, and Manila.
When asked about how she is as a girlfriend, she readily replied that she tries her best to give her all for a relationship. She ended that if the relationship ends, that would keep her from having ‘what ifs.’ Chiu has not been romantically involved with anyone after her split up with Anderson, although there have been speculations that some celebrities are courting her, including current love team partner Xian Lim and De La Salle basketball star Simon Atkins.
