Mayor Joseph Estrada Apologizes To Kris Aquino For Daughter's PostManila Mayor Joseph Estrada was the one who apologized to controversial TV host Kris Aquino because of his daughter Jerika Ejercito's post against Kris.
Kris posted on her Instagram post a photo of Erap and her mother, former President Corazon Aquino. She said that "President mayor" doesn't need to apologize to her because they are "okay." She appreciates his effort to call her to apologize for what Jerika said.
Jerika earlier posted on her social network accounts that Kris is a bully because she cannot handle the truth herself. She posted this amid Kris' decision to wear statement t-shirts on her show "Aquino & Abunda Tonight." This is still in relation to criticisms thrown against her brother, President Noynoy Aquino, for not showing up during the heroes' welcome for the 44 members of PNP-SAF who were killed in the Mamasapano encounter with MILF and BIFF.
According to her Instagram account, Kris had just finished praying when she got a text from Paul Cabral asking if she was still awake. After this, she also got a text from Mayor Len Alonte, asking if it's okay to give Mayor Erap her number because he was in Binan that night.
At about 11:08 PM, she got a call from Mayor Erap. As soon as she answered the call, Mayor Erap immediately apologized to her. "Sorry Kris sa pinagsasabi ng anak ko, ngayon ko lang nalaman, nahihiya ako sa yo, sa pamilya nyo."
He added that Kris and her siblings have always been very respectful of him. He said "sorry" for about five times. Kris said he doesn't need to apologize, and she appreciates that he took the effort to say sorry to her.
Kris shared that Mayor Erap and her mother were true friends. She knows that part of the reason why he called her was because of that bond they shared.
When her mother fell ill, Mayor Erap thoughtfull sent food and fruits "consistently." "I've never forgotten his kindness."
Before she slept, Kris said she learned again in this "season" of her life about respect, humility, reaching out and personal effort.
