Enrique Gil, Liza Soberano Already Have An "Understanding"Enrique Gil already admitted to Liza Soberano that he likes her, but the 22-year-old actor said he is not courting the young actress.
Liza told Enrique that she's not allowed to court her yet, but she hinted that maybe when she turns 18 years old next year, the actor can try to pursue her.
Enrique will turn 23 on March 30 while Liza just turned 17 last January 4.
In an interview on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," Enrique said he and Liza already have an understanding about his intentions. However, he is aware of the limitations of their "relationship" because Liza is still young.
It's hard to explain what they have now, Enrique said, adding that Liza already knows how he feels and he has always been honest to her that he likes her.
Enrique and Liza first acted together when the former had a cameo appearance on the 2013 film "Must Be... Love" where Liza was the third wheel to Kathryn Bernardo's and Daniel Padilla's loveteam.
Later that year, the two were cast as best friends in the romance film "She's The One" with Bea Alonzo and Dingdong Dantes.
In October 2014, they were launched as ABS-CBN's newest loveteam on the hit series "Forevermore," their first TV project together. The two, now called LizQuen by their fans, have been consistently trending on social networking sites because of their roles, Xander (Enrique) and Agnes (Liza).
Enrique is tagged as this generation's Ultimate Leading Man while Liza is The Leading Lady To Watch Out For."
The actor considers Liza as his best girl friend in showbiz. Since he has been taping with Liza for about five months, most of that time they were cramped together in chilly Baguio City where "Forevermore" is set, Enrique now has a closer relationship with the actress.
Of all his girl friends in showbiz, the actor can definitely say Liza is his closest now. He's very comfortable with her, which basically makes her his best friend.
In "Forevermore," Liza's character has a new love interest in Jay (played by Diego Loyzaga). Asked if he gets jealous of Diego, the son of actress Teresa Loyzaga and Cesar Montano, Enrique confidently says no.
"Ako, sa pagseselos, parang hindi naman, parang wala naman. Alam ko naman na may understanding kami."
